Cardmoire support

Keep the vault understandable

Cardmoire works offline. Most questions can be resolved without an account, server status, or permission reset.

Import help

Open Transfer, choose a vCard, CSV, or Cardmoire JSON backup, then review and select the readable copies before importing.

Export help

Choose vCard, CSV, or JSON plus Active, Favorites, or All. Prepare the file, verify the receipt, then use the iOS share sheet.

Why Cardmoire does not show Apple Contacts

This is intentional. Cardmoire is a separate private staging vault and never requests Contacts permission. Export the records you want from another app as a vCard or CSV file, then select that file in Cardmoire.

Duplicate review

The Audit screen groups copies when they share an exact normalized phone, email, or name and organization. Open a group, choose the survivor, inspect the proposed result, and then either merge the Cardmoire copies or keep them separate. A merge never changes Apple Contacts.

Undo and recovery

Cardmoire keeps local snapshots for the last ten vault-changing operations. Use the undo button when it appears in the top toolbar. For longer-term recovery, regularly export a Cardmoire JSON backup and keep it in a location you control.

CSV headers

Common headers are recognized, including name, first_name, last_name, company, organization, job_title, phone, email, note, and tags. Fields may be quoted and notes may span lines. Separate tags with a vertical bar or semicolon.

Unsupported or unreadable files

Confirm the file extension is .vcf, .vcard, .csv, or .json. A JSON file must be a Cardmoire backup. If a vCard fails, export it again from its source without manual editing. Cardmoire will not guess at a malformed file.

Reset the sample

Open Standards and choose either Replace with fictional sample or Start with an empty vault. The included sample contains fictional records and reserved example.invalid addresses.

Contact support

Email appsupport@shadowfetch.com with Cardmoire, app version and build, device model, iOS version, the action you attempted, and any error text. Do not attach contact files or other personal data unless support explicitly requests a redacted example.
