App data
Contact-file records
Records you create or import are stored in Cardmoire's private app container on your device. They can include names, organizations, job titles, phone numbers, email addresses, websites, postal addresses, notes, tags, and provenance events. This information is not sent to the developer.
No Apple Contacts access
Cardmoire does not request Contacts permission and does not read from or write to the Apple Contacts database. The app uses Apple's Contacts framework only to parse and produce vCard file data that you explicitly select or export.
User-selected imports
When you choose a vCard, CSV, or Cardmoire JSON file, iOS provides that selected file to the app. Cardmoire parses it locally and displays an import review before selected copies are added to the local vault.
User-initiated exports
When you prepare an export, Cardmoire creates a temporary vCard, CSV, or JSON file and shows its contact count, byte count, and SHA-256 checksum. The file leaves the app only when you invoke the system share sheet and choose a destination. The destination you select may apply its own privacy policy.
Deletion
You can delete individual Cardmoire copies or replace the vault with an empty vault from the Standards screen. Removing the app through iOS removes its app container. Files previously exported to another location are controlled by that location.
Permissions
Cardmoire does not request Contacts, camera, microphone, photo library, location, health, Bluetooth, motion, notification, or tracking permission.
App Store purchases
The app is offered as a one-time paid download. Apple processes the transaction and provides the developer only the reports Apple makes available under Apple's policies. Cardmoire contains no in-app purchase or subscription.
Website data
This static website does not include an account, contact form, advertising, analytics script, social widget, tracking pixel, or marketing cookie. Its hosting provider may process ordinary network data such as IP address, request time, and security signals to deliver and protect the site under the provider's terms.
Children
Cardmoire is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children. The developer does not knowingly collect information from children through the app or website.
Changes
Material policy changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. App behavior described here will also be reflected in the App Store privacy disclosure.
